Use the drawing to identify the mounting-hole size, panel-thickness range, passage and outside flange dimensions. Confirm whether the part is an open cable grommet or a closed plug; they serve different functions.
Choose the compound for the actual temperature and fluids. Rubber is not universally chemical-proof, and an open passage does not automatically form a water seal. Verify retention and the required performance in the assembly before selecting the part.
