A 38 mm rubber grommet may have an open passage, closed center or specified membrane. Check the drawing to identify both the profile and the dimension represented by 38 mm.
Match the mounting opening, panel thickness and cable dimensions where applicable. A membrane may permit cables to pass through, but a slit or gap does not automatically provide a dust or water seal.
Use the permitted cable range and installation method. Choose the compound for the actual temperature and fluids, then verify retention and any sealing requirements in the assembly. Do not assume the nominal size establishes performance.
