A 7/8-inch ID rubber grommet has a nominal internal passage of 22.225 mm. Check the mounting-hole size, groove dimensions and panel-thickness range separately.
If an attached connector prevents installation through a closed ring, consider a purpose-made split profile. Do not cut an ordinary grommet unless its instructions permit it; a cut can affect retention, strength or sealing.
Select the compound for the service environment and check cable clearance. An open passage is not a pipe-end closure or an automatic water seal. Verify the fitted part and any required performance in the actual assembly.
