Some glass fittings use a rubber grommet at a joint, while others use a matching glass-to-glass interface. These constructions require different replacement parts and should not be treated as interchangeable.
Check the equipment's specified opening and mating-tube dimensions. The location of the joint does not define the grommet size, and a tight appearance alone does not establish a suitable seal.
Use the material and installation method intended for the equipment. Do not infer chemical or temperature suitability from a general rubber label. For a replacement or custom part, provide the original specification, drawing or sample for review.
