If a grommet is specified as having a 16 mm inside diameter, that number describes its bore. A listing that only says 16 mm still needs a drawing to establish which dimension is intended.
Review all dimensions
Check the mounting-hole diameter, flange outside diameter, groove width and overall thickness. These are dimensions, not weights. The specified panel-thickness range must match the panel, and the bore must suit the cable or tube arrangement.
Material and color
Choose the compound using the operating temperature, fluids, weather exposure and mechanical requirements. No rubber material is universally the most damage-resistant or economical for every use. Color may help identify parts or cable routes, but it does not establish performance.
Provide a drawing or existing sample if a standard profile does not meet the requirement. Confirm tolerances and any tests during review and quotation.
