A cable gland seal and a general cable grommet are different components. Confirm the intended assembly, since sealing and cable retention may depend on compression hardware and a specified cable-size range.
Provide the mounting opening, panel thickness and cable diameter. Follow the product instructions for assembly and any required tightening. An ordinary edge grommet should not be assumed to provide gland-level strain relief.
Check material compatibility, temperature and the required sealing conditions. Confirm available sizes and performance documentation with the supplier. For a custom component, provide a drawing or existing sample for manufacturing review and validation.
