A 1/2-inch mounting hole is nominally 12.7 mm. The grommet's usable cable passage will be a separate dimension and must be checked on the drawing.
Measure the panel thickness and cable or bundle dimensions. Include attached connectors and required clearance; a half-inch cutout is not automatically large enough for several cables.
Use the specified hole size and installation method. If a cutout is made incorrectly, assess an appropriate repair or a compatible part rather than forcing the original grommet to fit. Provide cable support and verify seating and clearance after installation.
