Cable rubber grommets provide a protective interface at specified panel openings. Cable management also includes routing, support, identification and access; it is not limited to grommets beneath floors.
Match the opening, panel thickness and cable passage to the drawing. Provide suitable support and strain relief where required. A grommet helps reduce local abrasion but does not replace grounding or other electrical protection.
Vehicle suspension bushings and equipment isolation mounts are different applications with load requirements. Do not substitute an ordinary cable grommet for those parts. Select the compound for the actual environment and verify the installed fit.
