An electrical wire grommet helps protect a cable jacket from the edge of a panel opening. Select the part from the specified mounting-hole size, panel-thickness range and cable clearance before installation.
Prepare a smooth, deburred opening and follow the instructions for the selected profile. Seat the retaining groove without tearing or overstretching the rubber. Check connector clearance and the intended cable-routing sequence.
If the grommet will not remain seated, recheck the dimensions and condition of the opening. Do not use improvised glue or excessive stretching to compensate for the wrong part. Confirm retention and edge coverage after routing the cable, and provide separate strain relief where the assembly requires it.
