EPDM grommets are molded components for suitable panel, cable-protection or sealing applications. EPDM is also used in other kinds of products, but a roof membrane, belt or diaphragm is not a type of grommet.
Select a specific compound for the actual temperature, weather and fluid exposure. General properties of the material family do not establish the limits of every formulation. Electrical insulation and sealing requirements need relevant specifications and evidence.
Check the mounting-hole geometry, panel thickness and cable or tube dimensions. If a custom part is required, provide a drawing or existing sample for manufacturability review. Confirm the material, tolerances and any tests before approving production.
