Firewall rubber grommets provide a specified cable passage through a vehicle firewall or body panel. They help protect insulation at the edge when the part fits correctly.
Measure the opening, panel thickness and cable or bundle dimensions. Check connector clearance, retention and the installation instructions. Select the compound for temperature and relevant fluid exposure.
Dust exclusion, smoke sealing and fire performance require an appropriate profile and supporting specification. Do not infer those functions from the word firewall or from rubber alone. For a nonstandard part, supply a drawing or existing sample for manufacturing review and validation.
