A flanged rubber grommet has a projecting flange that forms part of its mounting or interface geometry. The term flanged does not necessarily mean the part has a long neck.
Check flange diameter or profile, mounting dimensions, panel thickness and passage size. An extended neck and a thick-panel mounting groove are separate features and should be specified as needed.
A flange alone does not establish sealing, noise reduction or vibration isolation. Define those functions separately, choose the compound for the environment and verify the complete assembly. Custom manufacture can be reviewed against a customer drawing or existing sample.
