Distinguish the panel cutout from the bore through the grommet. A diameter is measured across the opening, not from its center to one edge. The flange outside diameter is another separate dimension.
Use the drawing's mounting-hole specification, panel-thickness range and tolerances. Do not place a dimension at one end of a tolerance range without reviewing the required fit.
Molding shrinkage and finishing processes must be controlled, but removing flash does not by itself guarantee dimensional accuracy. Inspect representative parts using the agreed measurement method. Confirm material compatibility with actual fluids and operating conditions before using the part in an assembly.
