A high-temperature silicone rubber grommet can provide a local interface where a cable or tube passes through a panel. The selected compound must be suitable for the specified operating temperature and duration.
Check the mounting-hole dimensions, panel thickness and passage size. Elasticity helps some profiles during installation, but it does not allow an arbitrary part to fit any opening. Avoid excessive stretching or compression.
Define chemical exposure, movement and any sealing requirements alongside temperature. A silicone grommet is not a general replacement for thermal insulation. Verify fit and the required performance using the approved product specification.
