Large grommets include different products for fabric openings, cable passages and other specified interfaces. Identify the function before comparing materials or dimensions.
For a rubber panel grommet, check the cutout, panel thickness, passage and flange clearance. Fabric eyelets have different installation requirements and should not be treated as equivalent parts.
Rubber is not automatically a water seal or cable clamp, and metal products vary in corrosion resistance. Choose the material and profile for the actual exposure and loading. Verify retention and any required sealing after installation.
