A replacement rubber grommet for glass equipment must match the specified joint and mating parts. Different joint constructions are not interchangeable.
Measure the opening and mating-tube dimensions and consult the equipment's replacement-part requirements. A tight fit alone does not establish a suitable seal or safe temperature capability. Avoid forcing an incorrectly sized component into glass.
Use a material documented for the actual exposure and installation. A general rubber description does not prove suitability near a heat source. For custom manufacture, provide the original drawing or sample and agree on the required dimensions and material specification.
