Rubber desk grommets finish cable openings and help reduce contact with the cut edge. They can support an organized route when the passage suits the cable bundle.
Measure the cutout, desk thickness and connector dimensions. Provide enough room for cable bends and movement, and use suitable supports beneath the desk. A cable outlet alone does not remove all trip hazards.
A desk cable grommet is not automatically a load-bearing foot or floor protector. Use a component specified for that duty. Select the material and appearance for the cable-entry application and check retention after installation.
