A grommet, downstem and slide are distinct components in glass equipment. A replacement grommet must match the joint specified by the equipment manufacturer.
Check the opening and mating-component dimensions, installation method and material requirements. Do not force a poorly fitting part into glass or assume a change in rubber formulation improves performance.
A food-contact designation does not by itself establish suitability for inhalation-related exposure or every operating temperature. Use documentation relevant to the intended application. For custom manufacture, provide a drawing or existing sample and agree on the technical requirements before production.
