A 5/8-inch panel hole measures 15.875 mm. Select a grommet explicitly specified for that mounting-hole size and the panel thickness. The 5/8-inch hole is not the same measurement as the flange outside diameter.
Check the other dimensions
For a conventional grooved grommet, the flanges overlap the panel edge. Review the flange diameter, groove width, bore and overall thickness on the drawing. Parts intended for the same hole size can have different cable openings or panel-thickness ranges.
Choose the required function
Use an open profile for cable passage or a suitable closed plug for blanking the hole. Sealing, strain relief and electrical properties must be specified separately where required.
Select the compound for the actual temperature and fluid exposure. If the available dimensions do not match, provide a customer drawing or sample for review.
