Solid rubber grommet plugs cover specified unused openings. The retaining profile must suit the hole dimensions and surrounding material.
Check the mounting-hole size, panel-thickness range, insertion depth and flange clearance. Different profiles have different requirements; choose from a drawing rather than a general rule that thin or deep openings always need one particular shape.
Confirm the compound and hardness for the service conditions. A closed plug does not automatically provide sound isolation, vibration control or a water seal. Verify the required performance in the actual assembly and confirm available sizes and custom options with the supplier.
