Drawings, samples and repeat orders

Custom Rubber Grommets for Your Specified Part

Before ordering custom rubber grommets, check whether an existing catalog profile matches your part. For a different geometry, use your released drawing or an existing sample to define the manufacturing request. This page helps purchasing teams assemble an inquiry that can be quoted against a clear part revision.

Round, oval and extended rubber grommet profiles from the existing product range
Reference profiles. Customer-specific geometry is reviewed against the supplied drawing or sample.

Choose a Product Series to Order

Open a product series, match the drawing and part dimensions, then select the available material and color. Review the price and minimum order, add the part to your cart, and adjust the quantity before checkout. If a standard profile fits, order from the catalog. For a different shape, send your drawing or existing sample for manufacturing review.

Decide whether an existing part can meet the requirement

A custom order is not always the first step. Compare your installation against the available products before requesting a new tool.

Record a candidate catalog part

If a listed profile appears to fit, record its part number and measurement units. Compare the cable passage, panel groove, flange clearance and installation direction with your assembly. Use the product page to review available configurations and ordering quantities.

Separate geometry from material changes

A request for another compound or color does not necessarily require a different shape. Identify which requirement differs from the catalog configuration. Ask for confirmation when the needed material is not shown among the options for that part.

Identify the custom feature

For a nonstandard opening, offset passage or other defined feature, provide its location and dimensions on the drawing. Highlight mating surfaces and installation constraints. Manufacturing review is based on your supplied specification; the inquiry is not a product design service.

Build an inquiry package that purchasing and engineering can identify

A quotation should refer to one identifiable part and a consistent set of documents. Check the package before sending it.

Part identity and revision

Include your internal part number, drawing number, revision and units. If several files describe the same part, explain which file controls dimensions and which is a reference. Mark any dimensions that have changed since a previous quotation.

What the sample represents

When supplying an existing sample, state whether it is new, used or worn and identify any known departures from the required production part. Explain which features must be retained. Confirm physical sample delivery arrangements before sending the item.

Quantity and acceptance needs

List the first order quantity separately from expected repeat demand. Supply the material specification, hardness, color reference and any documented acceptance requirements. State the requested delivery date and destination so the quotation can address the intended order.

Review the quotation before authorizing tooling or production

Manufacturability review and quotation come before tooling, sampling and production. Keep the agreed scope attached to the correct revision.

Separate the quoted items

Ask which costs relate to tooling, samples and production parts, and which quantities the part price covers. Confirm lead time and any documentation requirements in the quotation. Do not treat a catalog unit price as the price of a new custom geometry.

Define the sample review

Agree how the sample will be checked in your assembly and how acceptance will be recorded. Give the reviewer the correct mating components and drawing revision. Sample arrangements and any free-sample eligibility are confirmed for the project; availability is not automatic.

Keep repeat orders traceable

Reference the accepted part and drawing revision when placing another order. Flag changes to geometry, compound, hardness or color before ordering. A previously supplied sample should not be used to imply approval of an undocumented change.

Questions Before Requesting a Custom Quote

Keep the part requirements, supporting files and commercial quantities aligned.

What if the drawing and sample are different?

Identify the discrepancy in the inquiry and specify which requirement is intended for the new parts. Ask for the difference to be resolved during manufacturing review before quotation or tooling proceeds.

Can one inquiry contain several custom part numbers?

Yes. Give each part its own drawing revision, material requirement and quantity. Keep common project information together, but avoid combining different part quantities into an unexplained total.

What should accompany a repeat-order request?

Send the previous part reference, required revision and new quantity. Explicitly state whether the material and color remain the same, and identify any revised acceptance or delivery requirements.

Can I order a standard profile while a custom request is reviewed?

Use the product links to select and order a catalog part when its dimensions and available configuration meet your requirements. Keep that purchase separate from approval of a custom part or new tooling.

Have the part documents ready?

Send your drawing or sample description with the part revision and quantities. We can review manufacturing feasibility and the scope of a quotation.
