Before choosing a part
Match the cable opening, panel cutout, groove width and overall thickness. For oval profiles, check both axes against the drawing. Keep millimeter and inch dimensions separate.

How to use the size chart
Choose the profile
Select a round or oval opening and compare the section drawing. For an unused panel hole, use a closed-center blanking profile instead of a cable passage.
Match every dimension
Check inside diameter for the cable, groove diameter for the panel cutout and groove width for panel thickness. Check outside diameter and overall thickness for clearance. Oval profiles need both axes.
Confirm units and fit
Read the unit on the table. Type D has separate mm and inch sections. Confirm drawing tolerances and installation fit before approving a part.
Send the size for quotation
Include the profile, part number, required material, quantity and service conditions. If no row matches, send your drawing or existing sample for manufacturability review.

Does a 10 mm or 2 inch grommet mean the panel hole size?
Not necessarily. A size may describe the cable opening, panel cutout or outside diameter. Name the dimension and its unit, then compare the remaining dimensions in the same row.
Can I compare metric and inch sizes in the product catalogs?
Yes, but use the unit stated for each table. Type D includes separate metric and inch tables. If you convert a measurement, retain the original value and confirm tolerances; a rounded conversion does not establish an interchangeable fit.
How do I choose between small and large grommets?
Measure the installation first. Small and large are browsing descriptions, not fit specifications. Match the cable passage, cutout, panel thickness and flange clearance to a complete dimension row.
What if the chart has no matching size?
Send the measurements you have entered and identify which dimension each value describes. For custom manufacture, provide your drawing or an existing sample for review, quotation, tooling and sampling before production.
