Neoprene Rubber Grommets
Specify CR grommets for your panel or cable assembly with the compound, dimensions and operating conditions defined together. CR (Neoprene) is a listed product material option; confirm the requested configuration and supply arrangements for your selected part.

Specify the profile as well as the material
A neoprene requirement identifies a material family. The fit still depends on the complete grommet and panel geometry.
Match the panel interface
Provide the panel hole, panel thickness, groove dimensions and required flange clearance. Use the size chart to identify a candidate profile, then include its part number in your CR inquiry.
Define the cable passage
State the cable or bundle dimensions and whether a connector must pass through during assembly. A nominal size such as 3/4 inch needs a named dimension and unit before it can be matched.
Confirm the CR configuration
CR is included in product material choices. This does not establish stock or manufacturing feasibility for every size, hardness and color combination. Request confirmation against the selected part or customer drawing.
Review weather exposure and contacting fluids together
The material guide rates CR favorably for weathering and ozone, with conditional petroleum-oil performance. Use those family ratings to frame a compound review.
Outdoor conditions
Describe weather exposure, temperature cycles and the expected service period. Submit the required aging or weathering acceptance criteria; a family rating is not a specified outdoor lifetime.
Oil and cleaning exposure
Identify the exact oil, fuel or cleaner, concentration and exposure duration. CR oil performance depends on the fluid, including aromatic content. The material guide lists limitations for aromatic and chlorinated solvents, ketones, esters and ethers.
Compound-specific requirements
Provide hardness with its scale and tolerance, color reference, continuous and peak temperatures, and any flame or electrical test requirements. Neoprene as a material name does not confirm a certification or test result.
Move from specification to production quotation
A clear part specification lets the quotation address the actual geometry and compound requirements.
Submit the controlled information
Send the part number or drawing revision, tolerances, material specification, quantities and delivery requirements. Include required material documents and inspection criteria at the quotation stage.
Use your drawing or existing sample
For a profile outside the standard dimensional range, provide your drawing or sample details for manufacturability review. Tooling, sampling and production arrangements are confirmed for the project.
Approve the specified part
Define how samples will be checked for fit, material requirements and service performance before production approval. Keep the approved drawing, compound and acceptance criteria linked for repeat orders.
Before you specify a part
Neoprene Rubber Grommets: purchasing questions
Confirm the complete part specification and acceptance requirements for your assembly.
Are neoprene and CR the same material designation?
This website lists neoprene under CR, the chloroprene rubber family. Use CR together with the specified compound or grade, hardness and acceptance requirements in your inquiry.
How does neoprene compare with NBR (Nitrile)?
The material guide rates CR favorably for weathering and ozone but conditionally for petroleum oil. NBR (Nitrile) has a favorable petroleum-oil rating and limitations for weathering and ozone. Compare the exact fluid and exposure conditions before selecting a compound.
Can I order every listed dimension in CR?
CR is a product configuration option, but a dimension listing is not confirmation of stock or availability in every compound, hardness or color. Provide the part number and CR specification so the complete configuration can be confirmed.
Does a neoprene grommet have a flame rating?
A material-family name does not establish a flame rating. State the required standard, classification and applicable part conditions so the compound and supporting documentation can be reviewed.
Prepare your production inquiry
Send the part reference or your drawing or existing sample details, required quantity and service conditions. Confirm manufacturing feasibility, sample arrangements and production requirements for your specification.
