Materials. Profiles. Applications.A 2-inch round rubber grommet must be selected from a complete drawing. Two inches equals 50.8 mm, but the label may refer to different features.
A 2-inch ID rubber grommet has a nominal internal passage of 50.8 mm. This does not define the required mounting-hole diameter or a universal medium-size category.
A two-hole rubber grommet provides two specified passages within one mounting profile. It can separate cables or tubes when the dimensions and layout suit the application.
A request for two rubber grommets states a quantity, not a size or performance requirement. Specify each part's dimensions and intended function when ordering.
A 1/2-inch ID rubber grommet has a nominal internal passage of 12.7 mm. ID describes the opening through the grommet, not the panel cutout.
A size written as 1.75 needs a unit and a reference dimension. If the unit is inches, the measurement equals 44.45 mm.
ID means inside diameter. A 1-inch ID rubber grommet has a nominal central passage of 25.4 mm; the required mounting hole is a separate dimension.
One and a quarter inches equals 31.75 mm. A 1-1/4-inch grommet label does not automatically mean it is intended for a cable of that diameter.
A 14 mm grommet needs a dimensioned drawing to establish fit. Identify whether the measurement describes the mounting hole, internal passage or outside diameter.
A 15 mm rubber grommet should be selected for a defined opening and function. Confirm which feature the size refers to and check the complete product drawing.
