A 1-inch rubber grommet plug is intended for a specified closure. Confirm whether the label refers to the mounting opening or another dimension; one inch equals 25.4 mm.
A blind plug closes an unused hole. If a cable must pass through, select a suitable open or purpose-made sealing profile rather than assuming a closed plug has that function.
Check panel thickness, retaining geometry and material compatibility. Verify any required seal in the assembled opening. A nominal size does not make the part a universal closure for equipment, walls or pipework.
