Large rubber grommets provide a specified interface at larger openings or mounting points. Identify the required function before choosing a profile.
For cable routing, measure the cutout, panel thickness, passage and connector clearance. For a loaded mount or foot, specify the load and support arrangement instead of substituting a cable grommet because it looks suitable.
Compound, hardness and geometry affect performance. Rubber does not automatically provide rated electrical insulation, sound isolation or a thermal barrier. Confirm the intended service conditions and verify the selected part against the relevant requirements.
