Custom rubber grommets are manufactured to agreed requirements when a standard part does not suit the application. Provide a drawing or existing sample for manufacturability review.
Define the mounting opening, panel thickness, passage, tolerances and service environment. Confirm material, tooling, sampling and production arrangements. Specify sealing, strain relief or vibration performance separately from edge protection.
A custom grommet does not repair exposed conductors or damaged cable insulation. Verify the approved sample in the intended assembly and use the appropriate electrical protective measures. Custom dimensions alone do not establish performance.
