A lot of machinery and industrial equipment operate in such a way that they produce a high heat output. That means that these machines and devices require additional heat isolation for some of their parts. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to perform the way they should. That is where high temperature grommet comes into play. An increase in heat inside of these machines can happen for a lot of reasons and is not limited to just the way they operate, and those high temperatures could possibly damage some of the internal parts like cables or wires, so you need something to protect those parts. Fortunately, this is where a high temperature grommet would excel.
A high temperature grommet can be made either from silicone or from FKM for the best high-temperature resilience, and luckily for you, we make both of them. Both of these offer similar heat resistive properties, with FKM high temperature grommets being about 10% more efficient. More precisely, a silicone grommet can withstand temperatures as high as 270 degrees Celsius, while FKM can go as high as 300 degrees. In addition to being resilient to high temperatures, these grommets can withstand sub-zero temperatures, as well.
Another great thing about a high temperature grommet is that it can be moulded in any shape or size you might need. They can be quite small or quite big, providing you with just the right amount of insulation you might need. But, heat resilience isn’t the only thing special about these. Excellent abrasion and tear resilience also make them a viable, long-term solution, and due to their durable nature, they can be applied in many industries. One of the many applications of these grommets would be in the food processing industry, where high temperature grommets made from silicone are nothing less than an industry standard.
