Measure the pipe's outside diameter, opening dimensions and wall thickness. Follow the installation instructions for surface preparation and any permitted assembly aids. Rubber should not be assumed to act as an adhesive.
Retention and sealing depend on the fitted geometry and operating conditions. Check fluid compatibility, temperature, pressure and movement where relevant. A correctly sized part still needs inspection and verification for the intended duty.
