Small grommets must match the opening and intended function. Their size does not make them suitable for every panel material, thickness or location.
Start with the mounting-hole dimensions, panel thickness and cable or tube diameter. Compare the drawing's groove, flanges and passage, allowing for tolerances and connector clearance. Measuring an existing part can help, but wear or deformation may affect the result.
Select the material for temperature and environmental exposure. Follow the installation instructions and check that the part is fully seated. Use a specified component rather than trying successive sizes until one appears to fit.
