A rubber firewall hole plug closes a specified unused opening in a barrier. Some products have a pierceable membrane, while others are fully closed; confirm the drawing and intended use.
A slit or pierced membrane does not automatically provide a hermetic seal. Follow the permitted cable sizes and installation method, and verify any required smoke, fluid or fire performance for the complete passage.
Check the opening dimensions, panel thickness, retention and compound suitability. Do not infer strong-acid resistance or unrestricted temperature capability from rubber alone. Use the part specified for the vehicle or equipment application.
