Classification of antistatic agents for rubber grommets
Classification of antistatic agents
Antistatic agents are actually some surfactants, which are classified into four types according to their chemical structures: cationic, anionic, zwitterionic and nonionic. According to the chemical composition, the amine derivative, the quaternary ammonium salt, the phosphate ester, the sulfate ester and the polyethylene glycol derivative are five types. Divided into a low molecular type and a high molecular weight type according to the molecular weight.
According to different methods of use, it can be divided into two types: outer coating type and additive type. The externally applied antistatic agent is generally mainly composed of a cationic type and a zwitterionic type having a strong adhesion, and is usually formulated into a solution having a concentration of 0.5% to 3.0% by using a volatile solvent or water, by coating, spraying, dipping, etc. It is attached to the surface of the rubber grommets, which is preferably dipped. This antistatic agent is easy to fall off and has poor durability. Additive antistatic agent is a kind of additive added to rubber products, which is dispersed in rubber, is not easy to escape, wears and has good durability. If a high molecular weight antistatic agent is added, the durability will be better, but the antistatic effect is inferior to the low molecular weight type, and the price is expensive. Commonly used antistatic agents are as follows.
1. Antistatic agent SN
The chemical name is octadecyl stearylaminoethyl, a cationic antistatic agent, amber liquid, which can be used in the form of addition, coating, etc., and should not be mixed with anionic surfactants, used in textile rubber rollers. It can reduce the phenomenon of winding and easy to make the rubber grommets discolored. The dosage is generally 2-3 parts.
2. Antistatic agent SP
It is an octadecyl stearamide propyl group, also a cationic antistatic agent, light yellow transparent liquid, can also be used by adding and coating, can impart plastic, resin, wax, fiber, glass And other substances with antistatic properties. The amount is generally from 1.5 to 2 parts.
3. Antistatic agent PES
It is a polyoxyethylene stearate, a non-ionic antistatic agent, a yellow wax used in rubber textile rubber rolls with good thermal stability and can be directly added to the rubber.
